Melissa and Will’s Wedding - Brockdish, Diss, Norfolk

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Last saturday an elegant and especially moving wedding in a lovely typically english setting - the church of St Peter and St Paul, Brockdish in Norfolk followed by the reception in the grounds of the old rectory, Melissa’s family home.

As promised, a few more highlights than usual posted here. Hope you get a chance to view them in Japan guys, and that they will please. Ohayo Gozaimasu, or should it be Konban wa? Congratulations anyway to you both!

All the images from Melissa and Will’s wedding are now available to view and purchase from the client galleries section of my site. Click here to view and purchase.

Monica & Chris - Marylebone Registry Office and Villandry Restaurant

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

My smallest wedding to date. I spent about an hour and a half taking pictures at Marylebone Registry Office and afterwards at  the lovely Villandry restaurant in Gt Portland Street for Monica and Chris’s wedding celebrations. Just five wedding guests - Monica’s 3 children - Tim, Katie and Anna - and Chris’s mother Audrey and daughter Sarah. What a great way to start the week - tying the knot and champagne before midday. Congratulations!

Portraiture in the City of London - Mark Oldfield

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

I love taking portraits but the best bit for me is just meeting new people, often from walks of life or with experiences I know little about. Mark and I had such a great couple of hours together on walkabout in the City starting at my London base in the Barbican and ending up in the heart of the city bank area. It’s such a brilliant place to shoot portraits having a wonderful mix of old and new buildings which you’ll see reflected here. The more modern buildings provide clean backdrops allowing one to create images that look like they were taken in a studio.

As well as being a natural in front of the camera, Mark is an acclaimed and well established international baritone singer and actor and you can find out more about his extensive repertoire and accolades by visiting his website http://www.markoldfield.net

His brief to me: to provide a mixture of portraits that could be used for various purposes: his website, requests for images from opera and stage companies, church, choral and other music societies, as well as portraits that could be used to promote his work as a singing coach.

Here are a few from our morning:
