Woods really are one of the best places to photograph children, especially those that like to find sticks, climb trees and generally let off steam! This family shoot with Arabella (9) and Joshua (7) started in the garden and moved on to the woods nearby. Great fun all round!
This session also shows that sometimes children don’t feel like playing ball for a more posed family group but nine times out of ten if you let them take the lead, you end up with something less conventional and that gets across their spirit tens times better - see below!
Here are a few highlights, but it’s been hard to choose. The first couple here are definitely destined for my website and will be firm favourites from 2009:
