Suffolk Photography: Interview and article Suffolk Magazine

Friday, September 24th, 2010

I am pretty chuffed about this, the first ever interview with me about my photography.

Thank you to friend and client Gina Long, journalist Dave Gooderham who approached and interviewed me, and to the Editor at Suffolk Magazine Richard Bryson.  Also all those who agreed to have images from their shoots showcased, and especially Matt.  The article appears in October’s edition of the magazine.

Suffolk Family Photography - Munday Family

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

It’s always a privilege as well as a pleasure to photograph children as they grow up - this is the third time I’ve photographed the Munday family but the first time I’ve had a chance to capture their latest edition, George. Even more special when mummy is a longstanding friend and one of the children is your goddaughter.

We had a great day starting off at the studio with some classic and fun portraits,  then out into the Suffolk countryside and ending up in the late summer sun on the beach.

Here are a few that I especially like:

Suffolk Christening Photography: Vinton Family

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Being a Suffolk photographer has its distinct advantages and one of them is photographing weddings and christenings in some of the counties wonderful churches. Last Sunday I was at Grunsbrugh church near Woodbridge for the christening of three very happy children -  siblings Benjamin (6), Ruby (4)  and Maggie (6 months) all christened together amid much love and smiley faces.

After the service, family and guests walked up the hill to the family home where the celebrations continued in the garden including a lovely moment when all 27 children released helium balloons into the bluest of skies.

You can view all the images from this event and order prints and products here.

In the meantime congratulations to you all and thank you Lisa and Ray. Here are a few highlights from a very happy day:

London Photography: Article in Discretion magazine

Monday, September 13th, 2010

This autumn I have a couple of interviews about my photography and services being published, one Suffolk based and one London based.

The first (below) is for Discretion magazine which is part of the London based company Greycoat Placements. Greycoat Placements are London’s foremost specialists in recruitment and placement of high calibre private domestic staff across the country. The magazine is full of useful guidance and information on all matters domestic from childcare to hosting parties and from planning trips abroad to showcasing suppliers and photographers like me!

The title of the article is What would you rescue in the event of a fire? Obviously I’m a tad biased, but I reckon for most of us it would be those irreplaceable family images captured and frozen in time -  the ultimate aide memoires -  for posterity and for future generations.

If you would like to read the article please visit Discretion magazine online where there is the option to download it as a pdf.

The second article will be next month, and is a 4 page interview in Suffolk Magazine.
