My approach, your session and pricing

Whether you are looking for a very relaxed head and shoulders shot, a lifestyle or environmental portrait, or a more formally lit shot in the studio, my aim is always twofold - to capture something that encapsulates the spirit of who you really are and to create a flattering image that you will love yourself and be proud to show others.

Most of my clients are looking for strong and flattering head and shoulder shots either to use for a portfolio, for their agent or Spotlight, an author picture for a book jacket or for their website or Facebook page. Whatever the usage, a really great up to date portrait of yourself that you yourself like is a very useful thing to have. Not only that,  having a really great portrait of yourself taken can also be a very empowering and confidence building thing to do. If I had a penny for everyone who has come to me over the last ten years and said: "Anna, I look dreadful in photos' , or 'I hate having my picture taken' and another penny for all those people who have been more than pleasantly surprised by the results, I'd be retired by now.

My approach, as with all my photography, is simply to take time with you, walk with you, be with you and chat and get to know you and as we do this over a period of a few hours, with a break for a cuppa in between, smiles and a variety of relaxed expressions and moods will come naturally and you will likely find it an easy and painless and the results will please.

Most of my portraiture work is conducted either in and around my central London or  Suffolk base, or in your own home or location of your choice. If I am coming to you there is still the option to have studio style portraits as an alternative to available light ones as I can bring a portable and easily assembled studio set up with me.

Your session:
Most headshot sessions take approximately an hour and a half, and extended portfolio or lifestyle/environmental sessions can take anything from about 3-6 hours depending on the brief.  During the summer, shoots can easily be arranged for an evening when we are blessed with longer daylight hours and it is great to take advantage of the evening light. After your session I will then go away and edit and work on the best images in postproduction before presenting them to you. Once you have chosen those you want, I will then go back and do any fine retouching that's needed in consultation with you to ensure that the images you plan to use really sing.

Pricing:
For weekday (mon-fri) headshot/head and shoulders session the price is £250. For weekends I charge £350.
For weekday (mon-fri) extended /full length portfolio sessions the price is £400. For weekends I charge £500.

Discounted student rates are available. Please contact me for a quote.

All prices are inclusive of vat and petrol and travel expenses are included within the M25 and within 30 mile radius from my Suffolk base.

Whichever option you decide upon, all sessions include the following:

• briefing and help in deciding what sort of images you need and the right approach photographically to them. All preparation and help with clothing decisions etc
• the session itself
• All editing and postproduction work and upload to your own password protected web gallery of images on my website for you to view and make choices from (usually around 30 images for headshots and 40 for extended portfolio sessions)
• 4 high-resolution, retouched print-ready digital image files for you to keep for all Headshot sessions and 10 high-resolution print-ready digital files for extended portrait sessions.
•  colour and black and white versions of all the images you choose and simple retouching is included with the images if required for example to skin tones etc.
• archive of all your images by me

Additional high-resolution print-ready images/files can be purchased for £40 per file for either type of session.

Professional photographic and fine art prints and other products can also be purchased. Fine art prints start at £30 plus p&p for a 9x6 inch.

If you would like a physical record for reference of the complete edit, a set of contact sheets can be purchased for £45.

Rights: The images you choose give you full private, press and publicity rights in perpetuity. I still remain the copyright holder of the images but you are free to use them for all press and publicity purposes. Advertising and Commercial rights need to be renegotiated separately on a use by use basis.

Hair and make up stylist:
Please note, if you wish to have a hair stylist and/or make-up stylist, you are welcome to bring your own or if you like I can source and arrange one for you. Alternatively I am very happy to guide and assist you myself with hair styling, clothes and make-up on the day. This is usually sufficient for headshots and I have a lot of experience working with people to help them to prepare and present themselves in a way that will result in the best images possible.
