Headshots Info & Pricing

The value of a professional headshot

Whatever your sphere of life, and in our online world, nothing is quite so empowering (personally as well as professionally), than a strong, flattering, relevant headshot you are happy to show others, and have quickly to hand. Whether you are in business, an author, model, actor, artist, musician, or simply an individual in need of a impactful brand identity or profile shot, together we will create images that communicate the visual messages you want others to see.

Taking just a few hours of your time to have a professional headshot taken can be the best investment and present to yourself. An investment in you.

Relaxed, warm, confident, engaged headshots

Many of us recoil with the thought of the camera upon us, and the first thing almost everyone says to me is, “I hate having my picture taken”, and then shows me a less than flattering, poorly-lit or over-filtered smartphone image. I am confident that I can eliminate any reticence you have with my caring but no-fuss approach, my years of experience (in-camera, with lighting and in post-production) and photographing hundreds of people, and my advice before, during and after your session in choosing your images.

The whole experience should build your confidence, help you understand how you come across to others, separate you from the smartphone snap, show you at your professional and personal best, and simply be very useful.

If you are looking for something a little more involved, please go to Portraits with Context info & pricing or look at the Portfolio page for more three-quarter/full-length portraits with context I can offer.

Most individuals require at least one headshot for a specific professional purpose. Often this is best achieved either in my studio under controlled lighting conditions and with the right background, or with me coming to you with my transportable set up. As well as professional work or career focussed headshots, we can also create some headshots that reflect the ‘not at work’ you.

Your headshot session can take place in my studio in West London, at your home, office or any location of your choice during the week or at weekends.

Individual headshot sessions on a weekday include the following:

  • pre-session zoom or call consultation to discuss your needs, location and timing and tips to help you prepare for your session

  • the session itself – relaxed and allowing for a change of clothes, shooting inside and out if necessary and with lighting and backgrounds as needed

  • a private online gallery for you to view and select your images and/or viewing with me in my studio directly after the session

  • 4 retouched ready-to-use digital jpeg image files in both colour and black and white and high-resolution and screen resolution for online use. Additional images can be purchased

  • my time editing and processing your images with light cosmetic retouching if desired

  • full rights to print, copy, use and share your images.

A portrait with some context or in a specific environment?

As well as headshot sessions, I also offer more extensive ¾, full length ‘environmental’ portrait sessions working indoors and out, either in my studio in West London or at any location of your choice for those who would like something that provides more context or a more specific message.

These take a little more planning and time on the day but can illuminate pictorially more about you. We can use a specific background, location, props, different poses, lighting, movement and other photographic effects. Headshots are also included in all Portrait sessions.
