London Wedding Photographer - Marylebone Town Hall & Home House, Portman Square

Bride and Groom in the rain in Portman Square
Anna, you were amazing. The photos are fantastic. You have managed to capture the joy, the motion and essentially the whole essence of our wedding day.
— Rob

This wedding was fun. Fun because both Patricia & Rob were completely relaxed and the deep friendship between them screamed out, fun because they didn’t care a stuff about the steady rain that greeted them for pretty much their entire day, fun because they know exactly how to party.

From Home House for the preps, to Marylebone Town Hall for the formal bit, then back via London route master red bus to the 18th Century private members club in Portman Square and while the rain carried on chucking it down outside, Patricia and Rob threw a magnificent Home House reception and party for 100 plus guests.

A little tied up in knots and embracing the hilarity of getting into a garment you never usually would wear. Later it came off in a little planned surprise moment on the dance floor that then went brilliantly not to plan.

Ooh that window light - perfect for some just ready quick portraits.

The pictures I captured of Patricia with Dad are especially touching. He was determined to make it for both himself and Patricia’s mum.

Onto Old Marylebone Town Hall to capture Rob’s arrival and guests before the ceremony in the wonderfully oak panelled Westminster Room:

At every moment in this wedding bride and groom equally embraced the fun with bags of humour. At this moment Rob said to me:
"I suppose I better go in!”

This photograph of Patricia’s father I took while she was with the registrar for the formalities before the ceremony. I always try to capture portraits in and amongst the natural documentary story telling images on a wedding day when I see a moment to capture one super quick.

A 5 min bus ride back to Home House as the rain came down again

10 mins in Portman Square gardens across the road from Home House. The portraits below under the shelter are some of my favourite bride and groom portraits ever. And just shows that it IS worth being game on to embrace rain on your day. All you need is an umbrella and togetherness.

Parents juggling their roles at weddings. Over the years I have collected many such funny moments; I probably have an exhibition worth of them now.

Always love it when the bride makes a speech too…

A first dance with a surprise sexy twist - that went wonderfully and hilariously not quite to plan. Rob’s jacket wasn’t quite such an issue to remove.

No ordinary DJ. This one from the iconic nightclub in Ibiza - Pacha.

Into the night and partying in full joyous swing
