Approach & Style

Natural candid wedding photography

Your wedding day is swift.  Whatever you are planning for yours - and I have photographed many hundreds - the best weddings are where couples are true to themselves, and freed up to be themselves. With your wedding photography, I want you to maximise those precious hours with your guests as I get on with reading and documenting your day with creative unscripted images, building the story that uniquely reflects who you are, and as it was - as it unfolds.

Authentic story-telling, moment-driven documentary photography

As you will see reflected in the images below and in Stories and my portfolio, I spend the majority of my time at a wedding capturing unposed images in a documentary style. Many are moment-driven, fast-moving captures, moments you yourselves might miss; others more layered or contextual compositions.

Artistic compositions with difference

I won’t be trying to impose a certain look, style or my own agenda on your wedding. My aim is simply be open to everything, and through my experience, anticipate moments as I quietly weave though your wedding day, creating a beautiful but real record for you - rich in context, incident, quirkiness, connection, energy, warmth, contemplation, ritual, atmosphere, wit (and often hilarity) and of course, that good old-fashioned thing called love.

When I deliver your wedding story, I want you to see photographs that you will love for the emotions they invoke, their artistry, beauty, and for their faithfulness to the unique nature of you both and your celebration.

Relaxed portraits - if you desire them

I am an experienced portrait photographer so you will be in safe hands if you choose to spend just 15 mins out of your day at some point for some relaxed just married portraits. Although we are together for this, my aim is always to just let you ‘be’ together, sometimes gently guiding you into the best place or light.

Not everybody wants group family photographs - the choice is yours. If you decide to have some, I will shoot them swiftly, expertly and efficiently. This part of your wedding photography will should take no more than a maximum of 20 minutes for 5-6 groups, should you wish for it.

I am based in West London but travel all over London, the home counties and further afield in the UK for weddings.
