Twickenham Rowing, Club, Eel Pie Island Summer Wedding

bride in white floaty dress walks through a white rose garden

Edith was ‘fashionable’ late for her wedding. ‘High’ fashionably late, so my coverage began with expectant guests assembled, a fretful registrar but a very relaxed Groom who knows his bride too well! Turned out the wedding party had parked up at the pub for a swift half and lost track of time!

I do love a flustered bride, and Edith was flustered in all the great ways - hoisting up her dress to run (she is a runner so this was the easy bit) from the car to the registry office, frantically doing up her shoes, apologising profusely and laughing with slightly hysterical nerves. She was herself and ‘in the moment’, just as it always should be, throughout the day.

Edith and Dan wed at York House in Twickenham with the obligatory first married kiss, an enthusiastic confetti moment with their four year old son dazzled by the petals between them, followed by some swift family group photos.

I then accompanied these gorgeous people (with a few stops along the way to adjust shoes, or take them off!) along the river to Twickenham Rowing Club on the eccentric hidden away Eel Pie Island where guests were waiting and eager to make some noise and party. So much scope for natural relaxed, fun and quirky wedding pictures at this venue - and I always seem to find a new angle whenever I go there which is quite often being a Twickenham resident myself.

Sunshine and warmth all the way for these two and their little boy who helpfully also had a camera slung round his neck - always great to have a back up photographer on a wedding day.

Now to the pictures. Enjoy! and please be in touch if you like what you see, and would like to chat to me about your wedding plans.
